The Berkshire does what she was built for, effortlessly lifting a full 9 coach train up the bank from the lakeside during a public steam event circa 1997.

Note the scale telephone posts, an original feature of the SMR. Just beyond the camera, the Berkshire will plunge into the nearly 100 metre long tunnel on a rising grade and curve, not ideal for traction!!
